The End of the Project

Well, we’ve come to the end of this project. The books have been delivered and signed by the author. They were distributed to family and friends on the occasion of Margaret’s 95th birthday party this past weekend.

Thank you to all of you for being part of this with us. You’ve walked alongside, encouraged, added commentary, contributed information and corrected our mistakes. We’ve appreciated all of it very much.

If you’ve been the recipient of a book and have been reading it, looking at the many photographs, we hope you’re loving your journey down Charlie’s memory lane. We’ve loved helping to bring it to life.

This last photo is Charlie’s mother’s diaries, which provided many of the details in Charlie’s Story. (As a side note, one of these diaries is by Letts of London, a company which still exists and still makes beautiful notebooks.) I hope her legacy, and Margaret’s documentation of Charlie’s memories, encourages all of us to see the value in documenting our days.
